no sound
Hi all .i have a problem with my sound drivers i have no sound and when i look it tells me the drivers are installed but not started.
ok number one what the hell does that mean and number two how can i fix it the sound card is a realtek ALC883 i have tried reinstalling the drivers with no luck

Hi, welcome to TSF.
![]() Click Start > Run > type services.msc - then click OK. In the new window - Scroll down to "Windows Audio", right-click on it and select Properties. Another new window - set the startup type to Automatic, click Apply and then click Start. |

Hi again
i have an Asus m/board P5GC-MX and have lost the EZ flash bios cd not being able to flash the bios i cant get the sound working and i dont know enough about computers to download it from the net ...soooooooooo what i want to know is .. can i turn the internal sound card off and install say a sound blaster card ..not having any sound is rather annoying thanks in advance for any advice Ken61 |
