Record from Cassette to CD on computer HELP!!!!
Hi Everyone I'm new here and hoping that someone can help....
I need to record from cassette to CD and I've hooked my stereo player upto the computer with an RCA cable, so its hooked into the red and white holes at the back of the stereo and it says AUX next to them. And from there it goes into the blue hole in the sound card. BUT I still dont hear sound, I've tried using audacity and Spin It Again. Where am I going wrong, its driving me nuts!!!

Re: Record from Cassette to CD on computer HELP!!!!
you plug the rca cord directly into the cassette deck, then connect to your computer using an adapter that takes the 2 rca ends and converts them into a 3.5mm stereo tip which you plug into your sound card

Re: Record from Cassette to CD on computer HELP!!!!
Hi Wozer so what you are saying that I just need the one cord, which is what I have, at one end there is the red and white end and they are in the back of the stereo or tape player (what ever you like to call it) and the other end with the one little skinny end in in my sound card. Which is the blue hole. And then I open up a program and push play on the tape deck and then I hear nothing.....

the rca jacks will come out from the line out port of the sound system and will go into the line in port of the computer.
or the stereo jack from the stereo out of the sound system into the line in port of the computer Check the volume control from system tray also ..
