No sound since xp pro install
Did a clean install on my Gateway3423 of windows xp pro. It originally came installed with vista. After alot of effort was able to locate drivers for everything except the soundcard, any ideas would be appreciated.

Was the sound driver written specifically for vista? If so the alternative
is to buy another sound card, if your current one is onboard I would disable it, hard to believe you cant find a driver for the one you have. Does xp even detect it?
