[SOLVED] Sound card problem
I hope I can ask this question here, since my sound card is M-Audio Revolution 5-1, which is not one of those listed.
My system is home-built, Abit NF-7M MB, O/S Win2K SP4. The on-board sound is disabled. I have just purchased a pair of Rokit RP5 monitors, and I have an Altec 621 which I am now using without the two speakers as a separate subwoofer. I purchased the new card because my old card, a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, won't handle this arrangement. The new card works beautifully, and the sound is quite remarkable. One minor annoyance. Whenever there is silence, I get a pop/click in the left speaker. I suspect it's noise from the computer, but I have no idea how to suppress it. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Re: Sound card problem
Hi, welcome to TSF.
![]() Have a look at this: Sound & Static interfering with your Music enjoyment. Try installing the card in another PCI slot. |

Re: Sound card problem
Thanks.
I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I moved the speaker connections to another output on the sound card, fiddled a bit with the control panel settings, and then moved the connections back to where they were supposed to be. The static has disappeared, hopefully permanently
