Re: no sound
Hi cerberus49,
Error code 10 indicates your sound card has a problem. Go to the device manager and see if the driver for the card has a yellow or red exclamation point or any other errors. Thanks, Bill |

Re: no sound
Can you give me the specs on your computer and the sound card you are attempting to install? Does your computer have intergrated sound and you adding an additional sound card?
Thanks, Bill |

Re: no sound
The computer is a tiny and it has an intragrated sound card I think. I think I may have deleted the sound driver by mistake as it says there is no sound device, but it was working before.

Re: no sound
Hi,
Have a look in Start > Programs > Accessories > System tools > System information. Press System summary - you'll find the motherboard brand/model there (System manufacturer/model). Please post back with that info. |

Re: no sound
If you still have your motherboard CD, the audio drivers will be on there. Check the Realtek or AC97 folders.
Have you run PC Wizard yet, or is it not showing anything? If it can collect the information, it will tell you everything you need to know about your computer. If it doesn't display any details at all, then this is more than just a missing/corrupt driver. Hover your mouse over the icons on the left of the PC Wizard window to see their names, then go to the ones for Mainboard and Multimedia. For Mainboard, post back with the details listed for Manufacturer, Mainboard, BIOS and Chipset. For Multimedia, post back with the details for Device Audio and Audio Playback.
