Problems recording with Vista
Hey guys.
I'm running Vista Home Premium edition (32-bit) I ran belarc advisor and in Multimedia it simply says "High Definition Audio Device" Here's my problem. I got Vista and a new computer last weekend. I opened up ventrilo, but found that no-one could hear me. I could hear sound through my earphones fine, but my mic didn't seem to be working. I opened up audacity, and hit record. The bar that shows the volume of the sound being entered was moving, which suggests that my mic was working, however no sound was being saved into audacity, and the box where you dictate how you want to record sound was blanked out. I went into the control panel and entered 'sound' and 'manage devices' lo and behold there was my headset working properly. I went into 'recording' and in there it said that my microphone was connected and working properly as well, yet as i said before no sound was actually getting through. Any help on this would be greatly apreciated as I do a podcast and this is kind of a killer for me. Thanks Illyrian |
