Dedicating Onboard to Headset
I'm trying to configure my onboard sound to be for my headset (for voice chat) and my X-FI card to be for all other audio. The output works perfectly, but I can't get the mic to work.
I tried putting the mic through the X-FI and just have the output sound through onboard, but that only works if my mic is plugged into the front panel's Line In 2/Mic 2 port, which refuses to work. I've never been able to use my mic with it. I've changed the sound input settings to Line In 2/Mic 2, but it doesn't detect any sound. I can only use that port because there's no other way for me to plug in both headset plugs (cable length issue >_<). I realize I could buy an 3.5mm audio cable to extend it, but I really don't want to spend any money I shouldn't have to. So, any ideas? |
