Problems with digital 7.1
I'm having problems when I hook up the optical audio cable from my computer to my 7.1 reciever. When I run surround sound tests or try to play games, the speakers only play stereo. What could be the problem?

Re: Problems with digital 7.1
Did you adjust the spekers in the advance speaker options to 7.1?
Hit start/control panel/sound and audio devices/speaker setting advance option, scroll down to your configuration. Let me know if this helps. Bill |

Re: Problems with digital 7.1
Send me your PC specs and the model sound card you are using. Also state if your sound card has a program that will test the speaker setup. If you can send me a picture of the hookups from the PC to the reciever or double check you connections

I have windows media center and windows media player if thats what you mean. I was able to get the optical surround sound to work when I would play a dvd in media center but no where else.
