Please Help !!!

okay, i use a realtek audio manager i think... im really pissed cuz i use my mic for scrims in counter strike... so i really need my mic, a while ago. i was able to play my game full volume and talk on mic at same time... then for some reason... i started playing one day and talking on mic... and my friends on ventrilo said it was wayyyyyyy to loud, so something on my comp is transmitting all the sound to mic... and when i even put on headsets... some freaking how, they pic up the sounds on my headsets... so please help me. dont tell me i need a new soundcard

Try turning on the Noise supression in the AC97 control panel. In the Windows Control Panel, double click Sound Effect Manager and go into the Microphone Effect tab. Put a check in Noise Suppression and click OK. See if that helps.

Also try disabling the Mic Boost. Go into the master Volume Control and click the Advanced button under the Microphone meter. If you do not see the Advanced button, select Advanced Controls from the Options menu. Then clear the box labeled Mic Boost and click OK.

You could try updating your sound card drivers. What sound card/motherboard/PC model do you have?
