my sound card wont work
  Recently i have updated my pc to xp and ever since then my computer says that i havnt got an soundcard but i have.please help

What make/model is your sound card? Download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer's website, then reboot.
If you don't know what card you have, download Everest, go to Computer > Summary, scroll down to Multimedia > Audio Adapter and click the blue link beside it to download the driver.
