Grin Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card

I am building a computer, and saw this card on eBay. I'm not sure how long it was originally posted, but at $43.99, it got no bids. The seller has a 99% rating, so I wondering if it's the model of card. I saw at least one post on here that said Creative have had problems with this card.
I am using a DFI RDX200 mobo, and a lab review said it had excellent sound (well, at least for integrated sound).
Should I stick with integrated sound until I can afford a good, new card?
I am using (along with the mobo):
Antec truePower 550 W PSU (Thanks to advice on here)
Raidmax Scorpion case
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 939 processor
BFG 6600 OC video card (512 MB)PCI-E
Lightscribe DVD burner
Sony DVD player
Looking at 2GB dual cahnnel PC3200 Corsair ValueSelect RAM from newegg.com
Thanks, as always...

Re: Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card

The card is fairly decent, nothing wrong with it with no faults of my knowledge. Although the card was on sale mid 2005 so better cards are currently on the market.

Re: Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card

I have the X-fi Xtreme Music. Vista drivers are pretty shotty right now (Creative says it's Microsofts fault for removing the DirectSound). Works great in XP though. Linux isn't possible with this card.

Re: Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card

Previously I put my X-Fi Xtreme Music on MB ASUS A8R32MPV-Deluxe with CPU AMD Athlon X2 4,600+ 939 and everything allright, but after i upgraded my CPU to be AMD Athlon X2 6,400+ AM2 with MB GA-MA770-DS3 I've a problem with my sound card, there's a buzzing/purring on my 5.1 speaker when i turn on/restart my computer.

I check on System Hardware stated that sound card installed and work properly, in Creative diagnostic test also i can't found any problem.

Is there's anybody know why its happened? is there any compatibility problem in my hardwares?

GA-MA770-DS3
AMD Athlon X2 6400+ BE 3.2GHz
GeCube ATI Radeon X1950XTX
4 GB DDR2 800
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music

Thanks bigfellla, i've put my SC on the furtherest PCI slot as your suggestion but still have a problem, after long checking finally i found that the problem was came from my PSU.

My SC running well after i buy new Thermaltake Toughpower 600W 2 weeks ago'.
