SB Live! Wave Device & Plug and Play Issues
Hello TSF,
I recently purchased a USB Headset (Logitech Premium USB 350), supposedly "plug and play". An issue with my sound card, however, appears to be interfering with my new headphones. I cannot switch audio devices away from "SB Live! Wave Device," and it seems odd that my sound card would be listed as a "wave" device. Something appears to be wrong, but I can't target it in the least. Any pointers? |

Re: SB Live! Wave Device & Plug and Play Issues
I have a thought.
I don't have experience with a USB based head set but you can answer this for me, is it acting as sort of a sound device as far as windows sees it? Anotherwards, does windows assign it as the recording device or have that option? that of course could explain something as far as what you are describing. Can you run dxdiag and upload your log? A wave device sounds odd but that also could be the generic name for the logitech. I'll find this out with your log from directx, but are you running the creative labs software package using their mixer, etc... Could be applications playing the priority game. Quote:
