Audio On Helium !!!!!!
I am not really sure if this is a sound card problem but, please, bear with me because I am a technical novice. I am really frustrated because when I attempt to listen to a song or music video the vocals sound like the artist inhaled helium. Originally I thought the sound was like listening to a 33 1/3 record album on 45 speed. Upon watching a music video, I could see that the music is synchronized with the video. The audio just seems to be on a higher frequency than it should be. I have a Dell Computer with MS Professional 2000. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Re: Audio On Helium !!!!!!
is this the case with everything you play? mp3z only? I mean as an audio guy, the first thing I think of is the sampling rate is totally out of whack. I've seen this happen sometimes and a cold reboot fixes it. Somehow, I don't believe this is the case. Perhaps you can provide a bit more insight on your setup. Do you know who makes the chipset of your sound card? I could always point you to a link to download the latest chipset driver unless it's creative labs where you can just go to www.soundblaster.com.
