Hey guys i have no sound, and it tels me that i have no audio device?

I have a ASUS A8nsli Deluxe motherboard, and im suposed to have AC'97 Realtek ALC850, but for some reason my computer has no sound and when i go into sounds and audio devices it tells me that i have no audio device the only sound it does make is a high pitched beep when there is an error message or some other poppup... ive even tried installing drivers from my motherboard cd and nothing? can anyone help?

Check in bios that the onboard sound is enabled, if you change it make sure to save when you exit.
