i need help concerning pc headsets... [Moved from Games]
everytime when I plug a pc headset (well not exactly pc, I'm using the xbox 360 headset while I plug it via a wireless xbox 360 controller and into the pc) the sounds mute out on my speakers and go through my headset... I don't like that. How can I only make my headset to only sound when someone else is speaking and of course, let me talk through the mic on the headset?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean here. When you plug the headset in, it mutes your speakers?
And you only want the headset to output a voice channel in the game you are playing? It sounds like you have either the Realtek or Intel HD audio chip. This is designed to mute the speakers when headphones are plugged in, and I'm not sure if you can turn that off. Also, I don't know any way to force certain audio channels (such as voice) to go to a specific place. You may want to look into simply plugging in the microphone part of the headphones so you can use the mic and your speakers. |
