Crackling static noise

Hi there, I just bought a new soundcard for my PC. It took me a little while to figure out completely how to get my sound working properly but I finally got it. I noticed however that my speakers randomly make a very brief cracking static like noise which is rather annoying. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this matter. This may have something to do with it I'm not 100% sure though. I bought a 7.1 surround sound card when my speakers are 5.1 ss. If anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

When does the crackling occur and how often? Also, can you list your sound card and speaker set?

The crackling is pretty much all the time more so when there are other sounds such as music etc.

The speakers I have are Logitech surround sound 5.1 here's a link to them.
