Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit Sound Problems

Ello all.
I'm running into a bit of a problem with my audio.
It seems that the device manager picks up my drivers and recognizes them as working correctly,But when I test my hardware it says that it is not capable of playing sounds.I tried disabling onboard audio thinking that it was interfering with my soundcard,It still didn't work-same problem as before. My dad tried adding RAM to my computer a few days before this happened, could this be the problem?

It could be that your dad moved the sound card when he was in there. Open up the case (power off, unplugged from power source) and take out the sound card, and re-seat it. Make sure all the cables are securely attached and fire it back up. Un-install all the drivers currently associated with your sound card. Hop on to soundblaster.com and download the latest XP drivers for your sound card, and re-install.

Any luck?

Tried exactly what you said, still no luck.
Reinstallation of the drivers went smoothly but I still get the error message saying that my sound hardware cannot play sounds.
