sound card will not turn on

Hi I have an Advent 7065 pentium 4, 3 gig laptop. I have had problems with the soundcard for a while. Sometimes it started up ok when I switched the laptop on and sometimes it didn't, I then had to switch it on manually. Now it will not switch on at all and I cannot switch it on manually, it says the device cannot start, and gives a code 10. I tried un-installing it and then installed it when windows found it, I have re-installed the drivers a few times but no joy, any ideas anyone?

hi,I have had the same problem with the advent 7065, i resolved this problem after numerous try's by installing the right sound driver(was told at least 3) for the laptop.which is this Vinyl_AudioCodec_V650a,i have downloaded it from a site which you can download it
