Inputting Surround Sound to AV Amp
I have a pc hooked up to my AV reciever which gets used to watch TV and DVD's through. The AV Reciever has a Dolby Surround Sound decoder in it and has worked beautifully in the past...
However it only has stereo inputs - i.e. the reciever actually does the decoding, not the pc or sound card. The reciever only has phono inputs, no modern digital inputs.... Is there a fairly cheap way of getting a dolby signal out from the pc to the reciever? Any thoughts, suggestions etc. would be very gratefully recieved - I'm not after a really top spec system or sound card, just a way of getting a Dolby signal accross to the reciever. Many thanks in advance. |
