Is this good for gaming?

in my experience, a good sound card doesn't mean as much for gaming as a good set of headphones.

unless you have a really nice set of headphones already or are planning on using a set speakers for gaming and music, then i'd suggest looking into a good usb headset.

The Audigy 4 is a good gaming sound card. I didn't realize how much I was missing out with the SB Live! until I upgraded to the Audigy 4 and put my games in Hardware Audio mode.
