Microphone(s) Not Working..
I wasnt sure if this was the best place to put this, but it seemed most applicable.
Recently I was trying to use Ventrilo (an internet voice communication program), and I realised that my mic wasnt working, thinking it was just the mic and not the computer, I switched it. To my distress, this one didnt work either, again I tried it, nothing. I thought that maybe Ventrilo was the program so I tested all three mics on MSN, and with the built in Windows Sound Recorder. Nothing, I have all my microphone settings in control panel on full blast, nothingh is muted. My computer has two microphone jacks, what are they chances that they're both broken without any physical contact? This issue feels like a lost cause to me. Any support or ideas would be Greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Max Last edited by physikz27; 11-07-2006 at 02:13 PM. |

hi that is strange, your speakers are working fine tho? if so do you have only one soundcard or two cards, because when you say you have two mic jacks, you mean one on the front of the computer and one at the back, or two at the back?

What is your sound card? Did you enable the mic boost and disable noise suppression?
