Help on Sc-5500p Sound Card.

Hi,

I just got my sound card SC-5500p from Trust. However, I faced a serious problem.

I got the same problem as "babadockia" in this forum. Please refer to :

sound card problem - Tech Support Forum

I'm using Dell Inspiron 600m (abit old but still function well). 512Mb RAM and plenty space in my harddisk.

I did scan the virus. Updating the latest DirectX, Updating the updated driver from Trust - Homepage for SC-5500p and Disable my on-board sound-card in the System-Divice. However, I do not know how to disable my sound-card in the system bios.

I did try this sound card on other Computer (more than one).. And they gave me the same problem. The problem is that with the drivers installed i have 5.1 surround sound with but after exactly 37 minutes all I can hear is a gargling/croaky sound. It goes forward like being pressed the ffwd button on an old vhs player(if you remember. I tried it on Winamp, Windows Media Player, and Real ONe Player.

What should I do?? Advise please.

its kind a hard for me to tell you how to disable on-board sound b..but i can tell you to update all drivers for the pc.. e.g. video , mobo, sound card.. and for bios try f10 or f11 or something for the dells... it should state the button to press at start up anyways to get to the bios/ really cmos screen and change the the onboard sound codec to off..

post back if this is not working for you.?/

i will try some thing els...
also did the sound card ever work in the system and did the crap sound come out off the speakers before onboard too??...

it is F10,, I can't find any possbile way to unable the on-board sound card. Even I uninstall it, but after re-booting the system, it will re-install in my system again automatically....

The Crap Sound didn't come out off the speaker before when I used my on-board sound card...

I searched through the internet, i'm not the only victim who suffer this problem. One of the user "babadockia" here got the same problem as mine if you refer to the link I sent previously.

Please advise.. thank
