Realtek digitalout issue

I have Realtek HD onboard sound, and am trying to enable the Digital audio out(RCA) in the back. I have it connected to my Digital input on my TV. It's enabled in Sound effects manager, but in volume control, the DigitalOut volume and balance sliders are both grayed-out, and i dont get any sound from it. I have the latest Realtek HD drivers. Is there something im missing?

Is the S/PDIF out set to digital and analog or digital only in the S/PDIF Out tab of the Sound Effect Manager?

in the spdif settings there are only the opts the change the output sampling rate and "Output digital audio source" which i have checked.

Did you check the connections? Did you make sure that the digital coaxial is plugged into the back of the computer and that your input is actually a digital audio input? I have never seen a TV with a digital audio input (not that one doesn't exist), I would check that it is actually a digital audio input. Is the input plug orange or black?

the conxion on the back of the PC is RCA, and the input on the TV is red
