My System

My sound just stopped working this morning???

I installed Windows Vista RC2 last week and it has been fine since, until this morning when i turned my PC on and there is nothing anymore? It was fine last night and all i changed a couple of audio output settings which i have changed before with no issue. I have just done a fresh install of Vista and there is still the same problem? The motherboard is a Gigabyte DS4 with BIOS F2 and i use the onboard sound

the plot thickens . . . after reinstalling every driver under the sun as far back as reinstalling vista itself, i decided enough was enough and went back to tried and tested windows XP - and still no sound??? I flashed the BIOS to F6 and am back to Vista with the latest updates. IS it becoming safe to say this is a hardware issue, if two OS's, 2 BIOS's and a variety of drivers wont fix it???
