Roll Eyes Creative SB X-Fi system runs slower

Hi! I have installed the Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum. The sound is grate, music, dvd, games. But the system (games) run slower. I mean, Quake III Arena, before install this sound card runs 125 fps constantly, without variations. But now, it is still 125fps but every 3-4 seconds it comes down to 80 fps and returns to 125. I dont understand. It is impossible to play with this variations of fps. Im very dissapointed. I have tried a lot of things, new drivers, some configuration with the programs from creative, the integrated sound card ac'97 disactivated, etc. Still the same proble, variations of fps.

My pc:
P4 2.66 ghz
1024 mb ram
xfx gf 7800 gs
creative sb x-fi

If someone could help? I am waiting any answer please.

Thx m8 now its all ok. I didnt updated the mobo but i updated the drivers with new creative software and now it runs well. On the other site I'v changed the sound card. First I bought the Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum but it haven't got a X-Ram. Now I have a SB X-FI Fatal1ty. With 64Mb Ram. Already quake 3 arena dont loos the fps and quake 4 don't loos it too and got the impressive 3d sound. Thx for all :)
