No sound at all

Hey there.

I recently got my computer back from the shop as there was an error with the hard drive which caused it to crash repeatedly. Since i have gotten it back no sound will play at all. The speakers are definately plugged in but in the sound settings on the control panel, it does not recognise that any sound device is present.

I figured that it was something to do with not having the latest sound drivers, but i'm a little confused about which drivers to get. I downloaded the Everest program that i saw mentioned in another thread and found that my motherboard is made by Micro-Star International, however under the PCI/pnp audio tab, there is an intel audio device listed.

I have searched both intels and MSI's websites and cannot find a suitable driver, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

whenever i search for your card im getting that it is an onboard card, which is built into your motherboard, however you say its a PCI? PCI is a seperate card you buy and put in one the PCI slots. Which is it you actually have?
