Cobra AW-850 Deluxe help, i have searched everywhere.

Hi everyone, thank you for reading my problem.

I just got a Cobra AW-850 Deluxe sound card and have come across a problem. As everyone knows, its not a very good sound card, but i only bought it for its optical input, so theoreticlly, its enough for me.

Of course, for some reason the optical input does not work, and i have searched everywhere on the net for help, but have come out empty handed. There are a lot of posts on forums, etc, that talk about optical out, but not optical in. If anyone knows what settings, etc i should have it on, help would be much appreciated as there are no instructions with it or anything like that. The Aopen website was not much help.

Also i have the most update drivers, and there is still no sound comming through the optical in. I have 5.1 speakers which are plugged into the right jacks, and the onboard sound card thingy has been disabled (the one on the motherboard) so there shouldnt be any conflicting issues there... if any more information is needed, please just ask. Thanks for reading

Yea, even that i think refers to optical output. Because it says you can only use the card for 2 speaker, or headphone, optical output. But all i need is input, i thought itd be pretty straight forward and simple. Thanks for looking though. Anyone else got any ideas?
