Sound Card Drivers Issue

Hello, I have an HP a820n desktop. Reformatted and installed all the drivers from HP.com. However there is no sound. So go back to the HP website and dl the audio drivers. Start the install and it comes up with an error message saying I'm not the administrator account which I am. I have created another admin account and tried it from there and still the same problem. I have even tried the administrator account in safe mode and still get that error message. Any ideas about this. Thanks.

Try this, go into device manager,, remove sound card drivers,,reboot
xp should find new hardware, when it does, let xp go out and find the
drivers for it.

I gave that a shot and it didn't find any drivers. I ended up just reformatting since I didn't have anything on the drive. The drivers installed perfectly. Not sure what caused it but oh well. Thanks for the help.
