Hi Reety, welcome to TSF

The CS4232 is an old sound card, discontinued in 1998 and no longer supported on the Cirrus Logic site. If you have the motherboard CD you should be able to install the correct sound drivers from there.

This is the only one I could find. It's for Win95, but if you don't have the motherboard CD it might be worth trying.

See the readme.txt file for instructions.

To Koala

Thanks so much for your reply and at least I know the problem...these computers that are "donated" to seniors...are loaded with problems....I don't think most are worth wasting time on. We have one connected to the internet for emails.....we wanted a couple to work with games to help these older folks pass time....I will just try to "acquire" another computer!! Thanks for your help......by the way, I am a senior myself....I love young folks that try to help us....it is frustrating especially when you only have old equipment to work with - (that includes bodies!! and minds!! )
