I have a sound max sound card installed on my motherboard...it has stopped working as of three moths ago...when i check system devices, it says the card is working properly...yet when i go to the audio section to check volume etc. i have no options, just grayed out areas where there can be no input...this is a sound max driver....i lost it when i was downloading a patch for a pc game....the pc site is the manufacturer's so i assume it's ok...also how do i check the status of the card in BIOS...operating sys is ME...i know, upgrade.......

reinstall the driver from the m/b cd
