Weird sound trouble.

Okay, Im having this weird problem where when i go into internet explorer and scroll up and down it makes this weird staticy noise. It seems only to happen when i move windows or scroll in programs that use internet. It happens in games such as counter-strike and programs such as internet explorer and windows media player. I reformated before and it fixed it but then it came back after about a month. I tried reformating again and this time it didnt fix it. I dont know whats wrong someone PLZ HELP >_<

Hi, and welcome to TSF!
Have you tried different speakers? Have you tried updating the driver?

Try a repair install.

Instructions: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

If that doesn't solve it, you could always pick up a cheap sound card. Like this:

CHAINTECH AV-512 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829120102

If you disable your network adapter and work offline with that application, do you still get distorted sound?
