Burn music to CD-R

My daughter sings from karaoke tracks a lot. I often burn them from wav files to a CD-R. Because of the multitude of older and newer CD players in the different venues, I usually burn them at 1X. Accuracy of the burn is paramount. I'm presently using an old Lite-on ide in an AMS VENUS DS-2512B2 5.25" USB 2.0, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817145653. It seems to work ok but a recently burned cd didn't work well in a newer professional type cd player.

Is there some way to check cd's for errors after burning?

Can you recommend an external cd burner (not dvd player or dvd burner) that is extremely reliable and accurate?

Thanks,
David

What software are you using to make music cd's?
What brand of blank cd's?

How about Nero 7? It can verify the track prior to burning.

Session may not have been finalized.

The blank may have been your one bad apple in a stack... It still happens

I agree though Plextor is Kick-but Quality.

Hardrive space is cheap though, so you may never really need to delete.

Keeping the full WAVE? archive it to DVD+R
