cd drive playing up

Hi everyone. A few months ago, I bought a gigabyte COMBO GO-B5232D CD-RW/DVD drive. It was plug and play, and I used to to install XP on my newly built computer, and successfully used it for a month or 2. Recently, I noticed it doesnt appear in my computer, and when I put a cd in, it has no effect.

The wierd thing is, I noticed when starting up my computer, it detects it under IDE devices, and so I looked in Device Manager, and there it is, with a yellow exclamation point, saying;

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I've tried plugging it's IDE into the other IDE slot, which had no effect.
I've tried removing it from Device Manager, and restarting. It recognises it when loading windows, but I still cant see it in My Computer! I cant find a driver for it anywhere online. Any ideas?
