Mistake Hardware problem!

Hi,

I use a 60GB HDD Video Jukebox mpm-202, what I use to backup. before formatting and re-installing this pc I put my files on this device, to put them back later, now, I also used this device with the Mac OS 10.2.8, and this should be no problem, because this device, and driver work on both mac and windows. but now, in every directory on my device in which I have put a file in, there appears a unknown file called: .DS_Store .And now, when I connect the device to my re-installed pc, the pc doesn't recognize this device, after I have installed the correct driver.
What do I do to fix this? is it an XP problem, or a hardware problem?

I get a weird site about turning into owner of a file or map.
My problem is that My pc does not recognize the device, but it is connected through USB2.0!!!
maybe i should reinstall a driver for it?
and so, where can I find one?
