ATAPI/I-IDE or IDE?
I'm trying to get a new dvd burner and have run into a snag
Two different LITE-On's, one ATAPI/I-IDE or IDE, What is the difference and would anyone work? |

I think there is a typo in the product listing or this post.
If you are refering to E-IDE,then the drive technology is going to be pretty much the same on both drives. They are just listed with different information. E-IDE means enhanced integrated drive electronics, which means the drive is capable of direct memory access transfers, also knows as ATA(advanced technology attachment). I think you will find both drives have this. So either should work.
