Audio Burning Issues

Well here is a good one for all you guru's out there.

My burner has been playing up, every time I burn an Audio CD the songs always jump and skip. I am using nero 7. I even replaced the burner with a brand new one with no effect. The only thing that helped is I clicked the test maximum speed setting, but the skipping is still there only to a lesser degree. I have also used a wide variety of media all with the same effect. I have no problems burning data, or DVDs it is only audio cds.

Any ideas?

PS, the old burner was a plexator px-716a and the new one is a LG model unknown.

@ hewso
Is your source HDD defragged? Fragmented files can cause buffer underruns which in turn can cause corrupted burns.

The file shouldn't be defragmented as I defrag at least twice a month

My System

If you're burning at the speed recommended in 'test maximum speed' try a lower setting.
