DVD-Rom Will Read DVDs and Cds but not DVD Movies

I have a Creative DVD Drive (12x) which i can read say a cover dvd from PC Pro and A CD-Rom, but not a DVD of Ultimate Force. I have WinDVD and WMP and Realplayer, but i cant play it. I have set the reigon settings to Reigon 2 (UK) but still no joy. Anyone got any ideas?

I have the same problem

I have a laptop that will play DVD's. A friend who has a computer with a DVD r/w that will play DVD's. So I installed a DVD r/w on the wife's computer but it will not play a DVD. It will play c-d's but not a movie on a DVD. I try "Windows Media Player" and it gives this message. "Windows Media Player can not play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer". There are two buttons to click on. One to close and the other for "web help". If I click on "web help" it takes me to places to buy a program. Isn't WMP a progam that comes with Windows and is free? If that is what is wrong I will buy one of the progams listed. Which one do you think is the best?

I tried that program dai, but still nothing. When I put the dvd in, and go to the drive in my computer, theres nothing it just says insert a disc into drive D:/. i think it could just be a knackered Drive.
