DVD/CD-RW Drive not reading CD-RW's
Hi,
My DVD/CD-RW Drive has suddenly stopped recognising blank rewritable discs. CD-R discs are working with no problems at all. Can anyone offer me some advice to what the problem could be? Thanks for any help. |

i'm not sure it's even a case of burning software as the drive just doesn't sound right when i insert one of the cd-rw's. Perhaps i could have changed a setting that now means my drive just doesn't respond to these discs, or perhaps the drive is just broken?

Could be your drive is going bad but there are a few things we can try before giving up. Can you post a Nero Infotool output. Run the tool, then click the diskette icon in the infotool toolbar and save as a .txt file, making sure all 8 boxes are checked. Attach to post using the 'manage attachments' button in the 'go advanced' reply window.

I guess the reading speed of THE CD-ROM and the speed of CD_RW was the reason why .. i Have a CD-RW for all speed and my drive can read or detect it but my CD-RW 10 x failed to be recognize by my CD_ROM..
