D and E drive problems
Hello everyone,
This is a first time post on these forums, but I have posted on quite a few gaming forums, so I should fare allright. On to my problem, which I have been neglecting for about a month now. My disc drives (D and E), wont recognize that I put in a new disc unless I restart the computer. At first I just found this annoying, but now that I am trying to install a game that requires 3 install discs, it is quickly becoming an anger supplier. I have 2 drives, but if I get the content from the first 2, I have to restart for the comp to relalize that I already put the 3rd one in. This obviously is no good because it backs out of my installer. I am fairly tech savvy, but not the best. I have tried to find a manual refresh/reload, but was unsucessful. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks T Edit: Forgot to mention, I am running XP on a Dell Dimension 4100 (Pent 3) |
