Bus, Drive, (something else)occured in DVD Dercryptor

Hello i am posting for the second time for this problem. Before I got the same error I had the NEC-3500A. It started getting this error after burning about 200 DVD's. It kept stopping and saying Bus, Drive, or (something else I forgot what it said occured. You guys probably know what im talking about. Well i got a new burner the NEC 3540A and I am getting the exact same error I flashed the drive succesfully to the latest firmware and it still does it. Now I am thinking it is somethingelse that is causing the problem. I have also tried different media. My specs are in my sig below. By the way I have a 250 watt power supply and the hard disk I rip my music from is a Seagate 160gb 7200RPM drive. Do you think my computer is not getting enough power? please help I am in dire need.

Seagate 20 GB Hard Drive

I think the power supply is likely. Use this site to see if you are giving your computer enough power (watts).

it says that I need over 317 watts and I only have a 250 watt power supply. I have a Gateway 500SE case. What power supply will fit in my case? But what I dont get is that I have been using this setup for like a year now and I have just started getting these problems. Do you think my power supply has just started going bad? I have also noticed that my computer has been freezing up alot more. It never froze up before I started getting these errors in DVD Decryptor.

Sounds like a power supply problem. Open the machine and look for a part # on the power. Next go to google and type in Gateway replacement power supplies. Most of the time this is easir if you know your computers model # and the part # of the power supply you have now.

Post back and let us know how it goes.
