How to Format A DVD+R

I just have a simple (hopefully) question: How do I format a DVD+R, like erase everthing on it. Is there a program or something?

I don't think DVD+R's can be re-written. It may be possible to delete things on them, as was possible to do with CD-Rs, but the space is definitely not recoverable, and the file is only taken out of the listed files.

So, there is not a program to format a dvd-r like there used to be in DOS to format floppies or hard drives?

Nope, record once only. You would need a dvd-RW disc for it to be reusable.

you can burn the DVD.
