Photo Recovery?

Anyone know how to recover photo's from my computer? Somehow all my digital photos were deleted from my comp. I don't know how, but there was a ton, and they are all gone. Can anyone help me get them back? I have already looked at the photo recovery software, I just don't want to pay for it cause I'm broke, But if anyone knows how to do it manually, if it can even be done let me know. THank you for your help.

Re: Photo Recovery?

I would like to give you some precautions before I suggest you some software. Please don’t try recovery yourself as you would result in permanent data loss. Well, you can try using Data Recovery Software if you are technically knowledgeable. Or else you can consult Data recovery professionals. They provide a FREE Evaluation and only after that they would give you estimation. You can either accept the quote or decline. They follow a policy called ‘No Recovery, No charge’. If you feel its worth paying so much for your lost data then you can go ahead. They are not only experts in Hard Drive Recovery, Removable Media recovery but also in RAID Recovery.

My System

Re: Photo Recovery?

Hi amyhodges!!

You can try download the Recuva, which is under my signature here. Install it on thumb drive, not on your computer drive. Then, run and recover the picture file.

Bear in mind, that the deleted file is actually on the computer drive. So, don't try to recover the picture back to the computer drive, or else this will overwrite the data and your picture will gone forever. To avoid this, save the picture to other drives, such as external drives or thumb drives.

Re: Photo Recovery?

You can often successfully recover deleted photos from a PC, camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what’s happened since the photos were deleted.

When you delete photos the data itself isn’t deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted photos is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted photos so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.

If the deleted photos are on your PC, use another PC to browse the internet for a solution as internet browsing causes lots of temporary files to get written to the disk. Download any photo recovery software, for example, to a memory stick, plug that in the computer with the deleted photos and run it from there.

If the deleted photos are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just don’t save any new files to it.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted photos is to try some photo recovery software. There are many such products available, both commercial and free – also of varying quality!

A good tip is to try the free trial version of a good commercial product that will scan the device for deleted photos and show you exactly what photos can be recovered. At least that will show you if you can recover the deleted photos at all or if it’s too late already. You can find more useful information on photo recovery at http://www.recoverdeletedpictures.com

Hope that is of help to folks.

Re: Photo Recovery?

Try Adroit Photo Recovery (http://digital-assembly.com/) Software . It is not a free one, but it can recover all the photos even though your drive may contain a large number of them. Performs well even on fragmented/corrupt photos.

Re: Photo Recovery?

I would really recommand you not to do it by your self. I had a simmilar problem, it took me hours to look for a software and finally I didn't succeed recovering it, furthermore, I made some of them unrecoverable.
you may contact www.raid-recovery-online.com and they will diagnose you problem and tell you how much it should cost (for me they did it without fee).
it just depands on how these photos important to you ...
