MATSHITA BD Drive Wont burn DVD's
Hey all

I'm not familiar with ImgBurn logs. But if it doesn't work in multiple OS's and with multiple software applications, I'd simply believe the drive has failed. Laptop drives don't last near as long as desktop drives and they are more prone to damage and just getting dirty.

Laptop drives are generally low quality and prone to early failure. Your drive has the classic dying drive symptoms.

even know it still burns CD's??? and its only a year and a month old??? but then again i take it everywhere and its used alot so could of died form the usage and it seems like loads of people have problems with this model BD drive :(. looks like im to search the net of a new drive. any recomendations on drives???

Burning one type of media (CD) and not burning another type of media (DVD) is a classic sign of a dying drive.
Best solution for a laptop, if you do much burning, is purchase an external enclosure and add an LG or Lite-On optical drive.

ah yea good idea didnt think of that. would be easyer and cheaper as well. as i dont make DVD/CD anywhere other than my house it would be ideal. thanks alot for your help!!!
