Esata Multidrive Enclosure with Esata PCIe x1 Controller Card
Hi All,
I am planning to buy a external e-sata dual drive enclosure with port multipluer which i intended to use in JBOD mode. (Individual drive letter access for both drives). Its from Sansdigital http://www.sansdigital.com/towerraid/tr2utb.html The esata controller with port multiplier support I am looking forward to is SYBA and is as follows : http://www.syba.com/index.php?contro...on=Info&Id=626 The only thing which confuses me is that it is written that this controller support JBOD mode (for RAID version only). It is a bit confusing since the RAID version the enclosure supports is 0 and 1. And I even dont want to use it as in RAID configurations. I need a simple JBOD (which has multiple definitions, i.e, multiple disks concatenated or individual drive access via single connection). Can someone please confirm that whether the card and would work together in perfect harmony. Would be happy to hear from anyone who has done a similar setup. Thanks. |

Re: Esata Multidrive Enclosure with Esata PCIe x1 Controller Card
They are all listed like that as far as I know. You can get them with the card also, such as this one which is currently on sale: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16816111057
