16GB flash drive reduced down to 11.2GB...
Hey,
I have a 16 gig SanDisk Cruzer thumb drive that somehow lost its total space and now has a total capacity of 11.1 gigs. While trying to set it up to boot Fedora, I deleted some stuff to make enough space and reformatted. Not sure exactly what else I did but now I can't use my drive to its full capacity. Right after I bought it too... FYI: The flash drive did NOT come with any additional software; only factory settings. Any suggestions/explanations? |

Re: 16GB flash drive reduced down to 11.2GB...
Came across some more info from Windows' Disk Management:
Seems that there is 3.87GB of unallocated space that I can't do anything with. Unable to extend the primary partition or shrink the unallocated space. |

The drive could be failing or simply corrupt. Try another app such as this: http://www.dban.org/

Try deleting the unused space. You may have to make it "active" first.
Save any data on the drive and format it in Disc management.
