My System

DVD drive no appearing (Windows 7)

I recently installed Windows 7 and have been very pleased with it with the notable exception of my DVD drive not appearing in Computer.

It is a: super writemaster SH-S202 (IDE connection)
I am running Windows 7 ultimate edition 32-bit
My mobo is a Lanparty pro-875B

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: DVD drive no appearing (Windows 7)

Does the DVD drive show up in the BIOS when the system first boots?
Does the DVD drive show up in the Device Manager in Windows?

My System

I think it is in BIOS because I could boot from it.
Its not in device manager as far as I know.

Its definitely in BIOS.
Just not in device manager.

Just started working randomly.

Re: DVD drive no appearing (Windows 7)

Have you installed your motherboard drivers after Win 7 installation?
