Can I recover my files!
Sony Vaio OS Vista External hard drive 320 GB Transcend: I downloaded a locker folder (New softwares net inc-folderlock6.0 setup trial version with 30 free trials-now 5 more trials left as seen). I tried some 4 or 5 excel files, not so important, from Transcend with 100s of other files(photos etc) for the locker. But later, I saw instead of Transcend drive being shown, the locker with those 4 or 5 files were shown in 'My computer' !!!. This confused me and I used the applicaion removal mechanism. I don't know what prevented other files being shown. However, I seem to have visibly lost other files, movies, photos etc., I believe some sort of encryption has taken place rather than happening of some Transcend damage that could be a coincidence. In any case, can I recover the seemingly lost files? What should be done for this? Please provide solution.
Regards Sharad. |

Re: Can I recover my files!
Seems like there was another post about this software causing issues.
In any case, if the files are/were encrypted by the software, you will need to reinstall to the software and remove the protection from the files (hopefully). Otherwise, try this sticky: Have you "lost" a hard drive, partition or files in your computer?
