Just finished my build..dvd drive isn't working?
I put together my new gaming rig today and am having trouble with the dvd drive. When i plug the power cord in it I'm able to open and close it...but then when i plug the ide cable into it it wont open and the light on it doesn't come on? Any ideas?

Try a different cable. New drives should be using an 80 conductor cable. Also ensure you have it jumpered correctly and connected to the proper cable connector. New cables are color coded: blue = motherboard / grey = slave / black = master
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_ATA Aside from that, test the drive in another PC.
