Bios not detecting optical drive
Hi,
I need to re-install XP on my laptop but the bios (phoenix) wont detect the new usb optical drive (asus sdrw-08d1s-u) ive just bought, so im unable to boot from XP CD. Any help much appreciated. Thanks. |

Is the CD-Rom set to be the first boot device in the boot order?
Panasonic may have made this laptop to only boot from thier own USB CD's The other option would be to install XP using a USB Flash drive.
