Removable Drive/Virus problema

On my old laptop running xp professional, i have a win32/heur virus. I couldnt remove it, so i tried to reinstall xp through an external disk drive. However, the drive detects and loads every disk except my xp professional setup disk. I have tried ripping and re-burning the disk to a dvd r/w, and i have tried the use of an image file and a virtual alcohol 120% drive. (this worked, but the setup reboot wont detect virtual drives) Im really in a lot of trouble here, so please help me. Thanks in Advance.

Re: Removable Drive/Virus problema

win32/heur virus is a malware. Try running Malwarebytes to get rid of it. Install malwarebytes, reboot in Safe Mode, DISABLE System Restore. and run malwarebytes.
